Google Seeks Relief From ‘Incognito Mode’ Suits in Federal Court

Google LLC’s effort to fend off damages claims from consumers alleging its Chrome browser continued to collect their data after they activated the browser’s private “incognito mode” is moving to federal court.

The web giant removed nearly 50 such cases Wednesday and Thursday from California Superior Court to the US District Court for the Northern District of California, and indicated in court filings that another nearly 1,900 cases could be on the way.
