Google Pushes Consumer Android Tracking Claims Out of Court

Alphabet Inc.‘s Google will resolve outside of California federal court claims that it misled consumers about tracking their app activity on mobile phones using its Android operating system.

The claims will be resolved through arbitration instead, according to a Tuesday order from Judge Susan Van Keulen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

The Google Pixel phone user, who filed the lawsuit on behalf of other consumers, owned devices that are subject to an agreement to arbitrate claims, the court found.
