Google Investors Land $350 Million to Settle Data-Privacy Suit

Google agreed to pay $350 million to settle allegations it defrauded investors by hiding a security flaw that exposed tens of millions of individuals’ private data.

Purchasers of Alphabet Inc. Class A and Class C stock between April 23, 2018, and April 30, 2019, would be eligible for a payout if Judge Trina L. Thompson approves the preliminary settlement motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
