Alphabet Inc.’s Google skirted a potential class action for allegedly monitoring app usage on mobile phones using its Android operating system, after a federal judge in California ruled that the plaintiffs didn’t adequately plead any of their 10 claims.

Marie Hammerling and Kay Jackson sued Google in November, alleging that the tech giant tracks phone users on non-Google apps without their permission, in violation of its own privacy pledges and the state’s laws.
