Google Cloud Launches Unit to Bring Its Tech to Public Sector

Alphabet Inc.’s Google Cloud is preparing a new division to specialize in bringing its products to US public sector customers as they digitize their systems.

Google Public Sector will offer cloud tools and Workspace apps like Docs and Gmail, Google Cloud Chief Executive Officer Thomas Kurian said in a company blog post Tuesday. It will also provide expertise to these clients in cloud data analytics, artificial intelligence tools and cybersecurity, so that US agencies can protect their users’ data from cyber threats.
