Golden Corral Settles Worker Data Breach Suit for $1.85 Million

Golden Corral Corp.'s $1.85 million settlement stemming from a 2023 data breach that may have impacted over 180,000 individuals received final approval from a federal judge.

Class members can qualify for up to $10,000 in compensation, and get a pro rata cash payment, according to court documents from the US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Golden Corral agreed to implement additional data security measures as well. Over 3,900 claims have been filed, with a May 29 deadline to file.
