Globe Life Inc. will escape, at least for now, a proposed class action over a data breach impacting 850,000 customers, after the plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed the case without prejudice.
Barbara Buford had sued the insurer after learning someone attempted to use her confidential information to apply for a line of credit, according to her proposed class action filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
