GameStop Escapes Video Privacy Class Action Over Meta’s Pixel

GameStop Corp. and plaintiffs have agreed to dismiss a proposed class action accusing the video game retailer of violating federal privacy law by sharing customers’ personal information with Meta Platforms Inc. without their consent.

The parties filed a joint sitpulation of dismissal, without prejudice, in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York Monday. They had told the court that they were discussing “the possibility of settlement” in July.
