FuboTV Unable to Escape VPPA Violation Claims in Class Action

FuboTV Inc. must face a proposed class action accusing it of violating the Video Privacy Protection Act by sharing viewers’ personal identifying information with third-parties, an Illinois federal judge ruled.

Judge Harry D. Leinenweber of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Tuesday denied fuboTV’s motion to dismiss claims that the provider’s disclosures of PII violate the VPPA.
