Fox News Reporter Must Reveal FBI Sources After Loss on Subpoena

Former Fox News reporter Catherine Herridge must answer questions aimed at identifying sources inside the Federal Bureau of Investigation who may have revealed the personal information of a Chinese-American scientist without her consent in violation of the Privacy Act, a federal court ruled.

Yanping Chen served Herridge and Fox with deposition subpoenas as part of her lawsuit against the FBI, the Department of Defense, and two other federal agencies after Fox ran news segments and articles highlighting her alleged ties to the Chinese military and her former role as a colonel in the People’s Liberation Army.
