Filters Fast Data Breach Settlement Rejected Over Notice, Fees

A proposed data breach class action settlement between consumers and Filters Fast LLC was turned down by a federal judge, who said that the class wasn’t adequately notified about how to submit a claim and that the attorneys’ fees weren’t fair.

Customers sued Filters Fast after the air and water filtration company suffered a prolonged data breach between July 2019 and July 2020, compromising customers’ personal and credit card information.
