The maker of fertility app Premom would be barred from sharing users’ health data with third parties for advertising purposes as part of a proposed settlement with the Federal Trade Commission.

Easy Healthcare Corp.'s Premom breached its promise to consumers that it wouldn’t share information about their sexual and reproductive health without their permission, according to the agency’s complaint in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The FTC filed the lawsuit concurrently with the proposed settlement, which must be approved by a federal judge.
