FERC Seeks to Boost Power Grid Cyber Security Standards

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a notice of proposed increase in internal network security monitoring for high- and medium-impact bulk power systems to protect against cyberattacks, according to a statement Thursday.

  • FERC is proposing to direct North American Electric Reliability Corp. to develop or modify standards to address current cybersecurity gaps
