Empress Ambulance Services Sued Over Health Info Data Breach

Empress Ambulance Service LLC allegedly failed to protect patients’ personal information in connection with a May 2022 ransomware attack and data breach that exposed the information of nearly 320,000 current and former patients, a new proposed federal class action says.

Robert D’Agostini alleges Empress Ambulance failed to implement reasonable and adequate data safeguards, failed to monitor its systems for breaches, and negligently allowed third-party hackers to steal patients’ personal health information.
