Diagnostic-imaging provider Eastern Radiologists Inc. failed to protect the personal information of nearly 890,000 people that was compromised in a November 2023 data breach, a proposed class action said.
Heisha Lynch and her child J.L. alleged that ERI failed to implement reasonable data-security protections, failed to comply with its data-protection obligations under the FTC Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and failed to inform patients concerning the weaknesses in its data-security procedures.
