Companies that fall under Colorado’s comprehensive privacy law are asking the state to clarify what counts as sensitive data.
Public comments released Monday showed that industries are weighing in on how they’d like the Colorado Privacy Act to be implemented.
That law, which takes effect July 1, 2023, will govern how companies collect and use consumer data. It gives people some opt-out rights and the ability to access, correct, or delete the personal data collected in the course of their transactions.
