Dave & Buster’s Hit With Class Action Over Online Data-Tracking

A proposed class action accuses Dave & Buster’s Entertainment Inc. of misleading website visitors into believing they could reject cookies and tracking technologies when in fact it permitted third parties to track users’ private communications.

The Dave & Buster’s website displayed a pop-up banner stating users could “Reject All” cookies used for website analytics and data sharing with advertising partners, according to the complaint filed Oct. 17 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
