Dating site Millionaire Match collected and disclosed the biometric information of its users without their consent in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, a new proposed federal class action said.
Michael Massel alleged that Millionaire Match, also known as Successfulmatch.com, collected and retained his biometric information for the purpose of verifying his identity before allowing him to create a profile on the site, but failed to inform him of the purpose of the data collection or how long his biometric information would be retained.
