A Ukraine-based company that operates three dating apps says it has fulfilled Federal Trade Commission requirements to follow data privacy rules.
The agency recently urged Wildec LLC to ensure its dating apps—Meet4U, FastMeet, and Meet24—comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and the FTC Act.
Wildec manager Eugene Yatsenko said in an email that the company “immediately reacted” to the FTC’s May 1 warning letter and fixed issues, “including removing all data from under age accounts.” Minors under 18 can’t register on the dating apps anymore, he said.
