Data broker X-Mode Social Inc. evaded a proposed class action over its user tracking and collection of geolocation data on Friday when a Massachusetts federal judge ruled the court lacked jurisdiction.
Judge Denise J. Casper found state resident Norma Egan’s lawsuit failed the three-pronged test that determines whether a court has jurisdiction in a case, according to the order filed in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
