Facebook Hate Speech Lawsuit Should Be Heard, D.C. Tells Court

D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine filed an amicus brief Monday in support of a civil rights organization’s lawsuit against Meta Platforms Inc.‘s Facebook for allegedly making false claims it has removed hate speech from its platform.

Muslim Advocates’ lawsuit should move forward to ensure technology platforms are not granted sweeping immunity from state consumer protection laws, the brief filed at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia states.
