Cyber Firm that Worked for Capital One Beats Hack Subpoena Suit

A cybersecurity firm doesn’t have to hand over more documents seeking information on its work for Capital One Financial Corp. after a federal judge in Ohio declined to compel compliance with a subpoena.

Ohio-based TrustedSec LLC produced information that consumers initially asked for in relation to their lawsuit over Capital One’s cloud hack. The consumers’ latest request for additional information is “overbroad,” according to the judge’s Nov. 20 ruling in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
