The Department of Homeland Security is defending its ability to ward off cyberattacks amid rising concerns over Iran-linked threats and recent cuts at its cyber agency.
“Today CISA is focused squarely on executing its statutory mission: serving as the national coordinator for securing and protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure,” Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency spokesperson Marci McCarthy said in a statement to Bloomberg Government. “We are committed to delivering timely, actionable cyber threat intelligence, supporting federal, state, and local partners, and defending against both nation-state and criminal cyber threats.”
