Online advertising company Criteo fined €40 million by France’s data protection authority CNIL for breaches of GDPR regulation, notably failing to verify that people whose data Criteo processed had given their consent, according to CNIL statement.
- Criteo has taken note of the CNIL sanction decision and intends to appeal it to the competent legal authorities, Criteo’s chief legal officer Ryan Damon said in emailed statement
