Credit Union Accused of Sharing Financial Data With Meta, TikTok

Everwise Credit Union deployed tracking technology on its website to collect and share without consent the personal financial information of millions of customers with more than 30 third parties, including Meta Platforms Inc., Alphabet Inc.'s Google, Microsoft Corp., and TikTok Inc., a complaint said.

The financial institution violated several state and federal laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, according to a proposed class action filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
