Credit Sesame Sued By Accountholders Over Data Security Breach

Credit Sesame Inc. insufficiently protected its clients’ information that was exposed in a data breach, and some users of the personal financial management company are unable to access their accounts, according to a proposed class action.

The two plaintiffs told the US District Court for the Northern District of California that the measures Credit Sesame have offered in recompense are insufficient.

Credit Sesame gives users “a complete picture” of their credit and loans in one place, and provides identity theft monitoring and savings recommendations, among other services.
