The class counsel litigating one of the first video privacy cases involving websites’ use of the Meta Pixel had their request for nearly $1.7 million in attorneys’ fees pared back by more than half in a Thursday court minute order.
Their request for the maximum payment permitted—one third of the $4 million settlement fund—was “significantly out of proportion” with the counsel’s time entries, the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts found.
