Communications platforms remain restricted from revealing details on government information requests about their users after a federal appeals court declined to rehear a case over national security letters.
The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit’s Wednesday ruling denying a rehearing is the latest development in a long-running legal challenge to secrecy surrounding the letters. The challenge was brought on behalf of two recipients of such letters, Cloudflare and CREDO Mobile.
