Colorado Consumer Privacy Bill Heads to Governor for Approval (1)

Colorado is likely to become the nation’s third state to enact comprehensive consumer privacy legislation after both chambers passed a bill that would give residents the right to opt out of data processing.

The bill—a similar version of which unanimously passed the Colorado Senate last month—would allow residents to request that companies delete or correct their personal data. It doesn’t have a private right of action and would be enforced by the state’s attorney general and district attorneys.
