Cognizant Hit With Many Lawsuits After TriZetto Data Breach (1)

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. is facing a wave of proposed class actions after a subsidiary that provides revenue management services to health-care providers and related companies suffered a data breach.

Three lawsuits were filed Tuesday against Cognizant and TriZetto Provider Solutions in the US district courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Missouri.

TriZetto “takes the protection of information very seriously and regrets any inconvenience this incident may have caused,” it said in a statement.
