Clearview AI Face Recognition Found to Violate Canadians’ Privacy (1)

Clearview AI Inc.'s facial recognition technology amounts to surveillance and violates the privacy rights of Canadians, regulators in Canada said.

The findings, announced Wednesday, were the result of a joint investigation by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and other provincial authorities. They found that Clearview collected Canadians’ personal data without their knowledge or consent.
