A Massachusetts federal judge denied class certification to a man who claimed his electricity company excessively called him while trying to collect debt.
Robert Nightingale sued two debt collection contractors and his power provider, National Grid USA Service Co., after he claims they called his cellphone five times in three days.
According to the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Nightingale failed to propose “an administratively feasible method of adjudicating” whether proposed class members suffered an injury caused by National Grid’s alleged actions.
