Clarifai Accused of Scraping Biometric Data from OKCupid Photos

An OKCupid user sued Clarifai in Delaware federal court, alleging that the artificial intelligence company violated Illinois privacy laws when it used the facial geometry of thousands of OKCupid users to train its facial recognition algorithms.

Jordan Stein claims in a would-be class action that Clarifai used and profited from her OKCupid photos without her knowledge or consent, in violation of Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act.
