Citrix Systems, LoanCare Sued Over November Data Breach

Citrix Systems Inc. and mortgage-loan services provider LoanCare LLC allegedly failed to protect the personal information of millions of people that was exposed in a November data breach, a proposed federal class action said.

Shirley Dailey alleges that Citrix, a provider of cloud computing services, and LoanCare failed to encrypt or redact sensitive information and failed to implement adequate data-security measures.

Information exposed in the breach included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and loan numbers, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
