Global financial services company Citigroup Dec. 22 denied reports that the company had been the target of a massive cyberattack this year that netted crime syndicates in Eastern Europe tens of millions of dollars from Citibank accounts.
Company senior communications officer Robert Julavits issued a tersely worded response to what Julavits’s e-mail referred to as “an inaccurate story today by the Wall Street Journal” on Citi’s cybersecurity.
