Citi Trends Gets Employee Data Breach Claims Sent to Arbitration

A federal judge granted clothing retailer Citi Trends Inc. request to send a proposed class actionover a 2023 breach of employee data to arbitration.

Chief Judge R. Stan Baker approved Citi Trends’ motion to stay the case, saying he found plaintiffs’ arguments on “unconscionability” failed his analysis and the arbitration agreement valid under the governing Federal Arbitration Act, according to an order filed Friday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.
