A federal judge stayed a proposed class action against Christie’s Inc. arising from a May ransomware attack that allegedly exposed the personal information of more than 500,000 customers, after the parties revealed they’d settled the dispute.
In a Monday order, Judge Jesse M. Furman of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York granted the parties’ request to pause proceedings pending their motion for preliminary approval. The parties revealed the settlement and requested the pause in a Nov. 15 filing.
