Cencora Hit With Latest in Wave of Medical Data Breach Lawsuits

Pharmaceutical distributor Cencora Inc. and patient support services provider The Lash Group LLCwere hit with a proposed class action over the theft of customers’ medical information in a February data breach.

The providers failed to implement appropriate preventative cybersecurity measures and didn’t notify affected customers in a timely manner, according to the complaintfiled Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The complaint comes amid of wave of similar suits brought against the providers following the breach. One other complaint was filed Tuesday, while another three werebrought earlier this month.
