Canon Business, General Electric Settle Worker Data Breach Suit

Canon Business Process Services Inc. and General Electric Co. reached a class action settlement agreement with an employee who said the companies were negligent in securing his data, leading to a breach that compromised the personal information of more than 10,000 former and current employees.

The proposed settlement includes $3,500 per class member, and additional funds for time lost remedying issues traceable to the data breach at $18 per hour for up to four hours.
