Caesars Customers Advance Class Action Over 2023 Data Breach

Caesars Entertainment Inc. must face a proposed class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of a “significant number” of the 65 million members of its consumer-loyalty program that was exposed in a 2023 data breach.

The plaintiffs alleged concrete injuries sufficient to establish standing to sue in federal court, and adequately pleaded common law claims of negligence, breach of implied contract, and unjust enrichment, Judge Anne R. Traum of the US District Court for the District of Nevada said in an order docketed Monday.
