Bumble, Badoo Dating Apps Settle Illinois Privacy Injury Case

Litigants in an Illinois privacy case involving the Badoo dating app told a federal judge they have reached a preliminary settlement, halting a need to proceed with a court order to determine jurisdiction in the case.

US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Judge Lindsay Jenkins announced Friday the parties have reached a settlement to resolve the dispute. Terms of the settlement weren’t contained in the the judge’s notice. A status report regarding the progress of finalizing the settlement agreement is due March 29.
