Brightline Data Breach $7 Million Settlement Gets Final Approval

A federal judge green-lit a $7 million settlement to resolve class actions against telehealth provider Brightline Inc. over a ransomware attack that exposed more than 1 million individuals’ sensitive information.

District Judge Rodolfo A. Ruiz II granted final approval of Brightline’s settlement with plaintiffs in four of roughly 50 lawsuits filed over the January 2023 cyberattack in an order filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
