BioPlus Pharmacy Is Closer to Owing Costs in Breach Class Action

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy Services LLC should pay an additional $440,000 in attorney fees and litigation expenses to settle allegations that its inadequate security measures led to a 2021 breach that exposed the personal information of about 350,000 patients, a magistrate judge wrote.

US Magistrate Judge Daniel C. Irick recommended the plaintiffs’ unopposed motion for attorney fees and reimbursement of class counsel’s expenses be granted, in a report and recommendation filed Monday in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
