BetterHelp Wiretap Class Action Claims Survive Motion to Dismiss

Amended claims that therapy app BetterHelp Inc. breached its contract with users and violated California’s Stored Communications Act can move forward, a federal judge ruled.

The Tuesday order from District Judge Richard Seeborg of the US District Court for the Northern District of California also dismissed other claims that BetterHelp violated California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act as well as requests for injunctive and declaratory relief, without leave to amend.
