Accounting and consulting firm Berry Dunn McNeil & Parker LLC failed to protect the personal information of 1.1 million people that was disclosed in a September 2023 data breach, a proposed federal class action says.

Michael Meyerson alleges that Berry Dunn breached its duties to protect sensitive data by failing to implement reasonable data-security safeguards; comply with industry standards and federal and state laws; properly train its employees; or provide timely and adequate notice of the breach.
