Apple Escapes Class Action Over Alleged iPhone Security Flaw

Apple Inc. will escape the remaining claims in a lawsuit accusing the company of failing to alert consumers to a security flaw in the iPhone operating system that gave third parties unauthorized access, according to filings in a federal court in New York.

Plaintiffs Tigran Ohanian and Regge Lopez alleged that a flaw in Apple’s iOS software that was known only to the company jeopardized the privacy of users’ iMessage correspondence and FaceTime calls.
