Anthropologie Customers Must Arbitrate Unwanted Text Claims

Anthropologie Inc. won its bid to force a group of individuals to arbitrate their claims over allegedly unwanted text messages, after a federal judge in Florida agreed that the terms & conditions for its text messaging program included a clear arbitration provision.

Esta Kravets brought the proposed class action against Anthropologie, claiming that the retailer violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act when it sent them promotional text messages that didn’t include instructions on how to opt out of future messages.
