Amazon Faces Claims Alexa Recorded Kids, Broke State Law

Amazon.com Inc. faces a pair of class action complaints alleging that its popular Alexa voice-activated system in Echo and other devices violates state child privacy laws.

The lawsuits, filed June 11 in Los Angeles Superior Court and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, claim Amazon recorded and stored the conversation of minors without consent from them or their parents.
