Alphabet, Meta Face New Investor Bids on AI Data Privacy Risks

Big tech companies from Alphabet Inc. to Meta Platforms Inc. face a slate of new investor proposals to probe concerns that personal or proprietary data could be used to train artificial intelligence models.

The bids from the National Legal and Policy Center, seen by Bloomberg Law, ask the tech giants to issue a report examining the risks of potentially using personal data to develop and train generative AI, as well as strategies to reduce those risks.
