Allsup Employment Services LLC escaped claims that it called thousands of individuals using a prerecorded voice in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, after the case was voluntarily dismissed by the plaintiff.
Annette Barnes sued Allsup for allegedly calling individuals without their consent. She lost her bid for class certification in July, after a federal judge in Florida ruled that the members of the proposed class don’t have standing because they haven’t suffered a concrete injury just from receiving a single voicemail.
The suit was voluntarily dismissed July 29.
